84 RV Rentals & Service has been a family owned business for almost 50 years and we are proud to be able to offer our customers the selection and discounts of larger dealerships, while still providing the time and attention of a smaller, family owned business.

84 RV Superstore began as Rayewood RV Centers in Sussex NJ and was started over 50 years ago by Charles and Bea Raye. Through great vision and hard work, the business soon grew into the area's premier RV sales and RV rental center, campground, and RV storage facility serving northern New Jersey and Orange County, NY.

December 2008, management decided to focus exclusively on the RV rental & service portions of the business.  In order to better serve our customers, we moved back to our Sussex, NJ location to continue offering RV rentals, RV service, discount RV storage and a seasonal campground.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RENTALS
On arrival you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of 84 RV Rental. Here is a summary of their terms and conditions:

DEFINITIONS
The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for 84 RV Rental.

    * The Supplier means the operator of 84 RV Rental
    * The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s) or renter (s)

PAYMENT
A non-refundable deposit will be taken from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation.  This percentage of the total fees will vary depending on the number of days your booking is placed before travel commencement, payable my Visa or Mastercard. (1.75% transaction fee applies).

A secondary deposit $800 will be collected by the supplier shortly after the booking is confirmed.

The balance payment due will be deducted from your nominated credit card 21 days prior to the commencement of your rental. Please ensure there are sufficient funds available on your card for the balance to be collected at least 21 days prior to your rental commencing. If you are booking within 21 days of travel the entire cost of the rental will be transacted from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation.

Note on foreign currency bookings: full balance of payment (including the deposit) will be collected at the time of confirmation if you have elected to process your booking in a currency different to US$. Some charges may be payable directly to your rental station upon arrival, these will be itemised as such in your breakdown of pricing if and where applicable.

Any additional charges for excess miles, (credit for unused miles), extra cleaning, fuel, generator use, or repair / damage deemed the responsibility of the renter will be calculated upon return.  All charges in excess of the security deposit will be the responsibility of the renter with payment due immediately.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:

* 24 days prior to pick up, refunds may either be taken by: a) 50% cash
                                                                                     b) 100% applicable to future rental within a year 
* Within 23 days prior to pick up:                                      No refund.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A $800 security deposit is required for motorhomes and $500 for travel trailers.  A $250 security deposit for pop-ups which is paid upon making the reservation.  Any additional balance due is to be paid 3 weeks prior to your leaving date.  The security deposit must be paid by check or credit card.  Security deposits will be returned to the renter within 14 days of the return date as long as there are no additional charges to be made.  Adjustments for gasoline, mileage, and generator use need to be paid at the time of the rental return.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

RATES INCLUDE
- 100 miles per day for motorhomes, (excluding travel trailers and pop-ups.) Additional mile is cost  $0.35c.
- Free car parking at depot
- The vehicles are released to you with the engine fuel and propane tanks full and the engine fuel tanks must be full on your return

- All rental days are calculated per night basis

GET TO KNOW YOUR RV
You will be given complete operating instructions and a comprehensive walk-thru at the time of departure taking approximately one – two hours to complete. We also have a video on our home pay of RV Made Easy which we encourage you to spend the 13 minutes watching.

RENTAL PERIODS
Minimum 3-4 day rentals depending on the season.  Long term packages are also available.
Pick up time is 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Return time is by 10:00 AM

DELAYED PICK UP
Please contact our office as early as possible if you are going to be unavoidably delayed.  Remember other customers pickup times are affected if you are late for your pick up.

EXTENSIONS
Extending your vacation is possible, but not guaranteed. You must ask permission prior to our return date and the additional nights must be paid for (usually by the credit card on file) before the extension is effective.

RETURN TIME
It is our policy to provide our customers with on-time service. To accomplish this, we need the cooperation of our renters to return the motor home at the prescribed return time. Late returns may cause delays in checking you in.  You should allow a minimum of (1) one hour for returning the vehicle and more if the vehicle has been damaged. Any unauthorized returns after 10:00am will be considered late and charged accordingly. To assure compliance, it is necessary for us to assess a late fee of $250 and the daily rate for each day the vehicle is late.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable by cash, personal check, certified check and traveler checks 3 weeks prior to travel.  Credit cards are only acceptable for the deposit and not accepted for final payment.

CREDENTIALS
Proper identification, a valid driver’s license, current insurance card from your car and a valid Credit Card must be presented before leaving with a vehicle.

ALL DRIVERS MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE and have a clean driving record. No more than one minor traffic violation or at-fault accident and NO major violations (Reckless Driving, Hit and Run, Driving while under the Influence of drugs or alcohol), in the last three years. All drivers must have a valid US or International Drivers License.

SMOKING, AND USE OF THE REAR LADDER & ROOF ARE PROHIBITED.
Any violation will result in a penalty of $250 plus actual charges for deep cleaning or repairing of the rental unit.  Towing and pets are permitted in certain RV’s and an additional fee is charged for pets.

RESTRICTIONS
Rental vehicles are not permitted into Mexico.

DAMAGE WAIVER
If you purchase CDW, we waive our right to collect from you a portion of Physical Damage to the Vehicle. We will not waive this right if damage to the Vehicle: (a) is caused by anyone who is not an Authorized Driver; (b) is caused by a Vehicle driver under the influence of any drug or alcohol; (c) is caused by anyone who obtained use of the Vehicle or extended the rental period by giving us false, fraudulent or misleading information; (d) occurs while the Vehicle is used during the commission of any crime, other than a minor traffic violation; (e) occurs while carrying persons or property for hire, while pushing or towing anything, during any race, speed test or contest, or, while teaching anyone to drive; (f) results from carrying dangerous or hazardous items or illegal materiel; (g) results from use of the Vehicle outside the United States or Canada, our outside any geographic limitations stated elsewhere in this agreement; (g1) is caused by driving on unpaved roads; (h) occurs while transporting more person than the Vehicle has seat belts, while carrying persons outside the passenger compartment, or while transporting children without approved child safety seats as required by law; (i) occurs when the odometer has been tampered with or disconnected; (j) occurs when the Vehicle s fluid levels are low, or it is otherwise reasonable to expect you to know that further operation would damage the Vehicle; (k) is caused by inadequately secured cargo; (l) is caused, by anyone who sits, lies or stands on the roof of the Vehicle; (n) results from your willful, wanton or reckless act or misconduct; and, (m) occurs and you fail to notify us and the police of any accident or vandalism causing damage to the Vehicle.  The CDW limit applies to EACH accident separately not cumulatively.

INSURANCE
You are responsible for all damage or loss you cause to others. You agree to provide auto liability, collision and comprehensive insurance covering you, us, and the Vehicle. Where State law requires us to provide auto liability insurance, or if you have no auto liability insurance, we provide auto liability insurance (the Policy) that is secondary to any other valid and collectible insurance, whether primary, secondary, excess or contingent. The Policy provide bodily injury and property damage liability coverage with limits no higher than minimum levels prescribed by the financial responsibility laws of the State whose laws apply to the loss. You and we reject PIP, medical payments, no-fault and uninsured and under-insured motorist coverage, where permitted by law. Coverage is void if you violate the terms of this Agreement or if you fail to cooperate in any loss investigation conducted by us, or our insurer. The Policy does not cover losses caused by drivers of the Vehicle who are not Authorized Drivers.  You have the option to purchase RV Supplemental Liability Insurance.  This is purchased online directly with an insurance company, not Rayewood RV Rentals. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NON USA AUTO INSURANCE POLICY HOLDERS: You have the option to purchase RV Supplemental Liability Insurance for US$9.95/day. ON ROAD REPAIRS
In the unlikely event of mechanical difficulties with your rental vehicle, we want to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. Our late model vehicles are covered under manufacturer’s warranty, so repairs are as simple as taking the unit to a Ford dealer for chassis problems or to a Forest River, Fleetwood, Dutchman or Starcraft dealer for coach or trailer repairs, depending on the unit.  If breakdowns occur and repairs are needed, any repair up to $50.00 may be done. Any repairs $50.00 or over must have prior authorization from Rayewood RV Rentals. Please save and submit all receipts for repairs. Refunds will not be made without a receipt.

SEAT BELTS AND AIR BAGS
Seat belts are provided in various seats around the motor home. It is very important, both for your safety and to abide by state and federal laws, that they be worn whenever the vehicle is in motion and care should be taken when choosing small individuals (especially children) to occupy those seats.

HITCH USE
You are not permitted to tow anything or use the hitch for a bike rack without permission.

RETURN CLEANING FEE
We will clean the vehicle for a fee of $50.00. However, any excessive interior or exterior grime, stains, dirt, requiring deep cleaning will be charged for, in addition to the prepaid cleaning fee, at our shop rate of $99.00 per hour plus supplies and / or required contracted cleaning services.

HOLDING TANKS
As part of our service to you, upon the return of the vehicle the holding tanks will be dumped and rinsed with no additional charge to the renter.

FUEL REFILL
The vehicles are released to you with the engine fuel and propane tanks full and the engine fuel tanks must be full on your return.  The propane tanks will be filled at no charge to the renter as part of our service to you.  If the fuel tank is not full upon return you will be charged a $25.00 service charge to fill the fuel tank plus the actual cost of fuel.

GENERATOR USE
Use of the 110V generator is available for $3.00 per hour.  In lieu of the hourly rate, unlimited used can be obtained by prepaying $25.00 per day for the generator.  The generator runs off of the motorhome's premounted regular gasoline tank.

Vehicle Height – Be sure and watch for low hanging branches, canopies at gas stations and fast-food restaurants, and parking structures.

Weight Limits – All vehicles have a weight limit established by the chassis manufacturer. You should always be careful not to exceed the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of the vehicle. Traveling with full fuel, water, and waste tanks makes the vehicle quite heavy and cuts down on the carrying capacity of people, personal items food, and luggage.  It also affects fuel economy. If you have any questions regarding weight, please consult our personnel or check the weight label found in the wardrobe.

Vehicle Maintenance – It is important that you check the engine fluids every time you stop to refuel. If the vehicle needs any fluids, please add the proper amount.  You will be reimbursed when you present us with the receipt upon your return. Driving with low fluid levels can cause engine damage for which you are totally responsible. It is important that you watch all gauges, driving the vehicle while it is overheated will cause engine damage.  It is also vital that you check the generator oil level every 6-8 hours of operation. If the generator or the engine needs oil, you may use 30 wt or 10W30 oil, available at any service station.

ACCIDENTS: If involved in an accident you must notify Rayewood RV Rentals within 24 hours. A full written police accident report must be submitted to our management upon your return. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit.

Vehicle Loss or Damage – In the unfortunate situation that there is damage to the rental unit when you return, we want you to know how those situations will be handled. Our goal is to be as up front and clear as possible so there are no surprises.  If you have ANY questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Estimate / Appraisal - An estimate / appraisal will be done to determine repair and replacement costs to the unit.

Parts – We charge manufacturer retail prices for all replacement parts required to put the vehicle back into new condition.  We will give you a detailed listing of the parts we use. If the parts are not an item that we normally stock, you will also be charged for freight and expedited delivery.  It is necessary that the vehicle be placed back into a serviceable condition as quickly as possible. All parts and supply charges are taxable.

Labor – We charge our standard shop labor rate.

Body / Chassis Shop- Some repairs require outside service assistance. If we use an outside shop, you will be responsible for the transportation costs of the vehicle to and from the shop.

Reservation Down payment:  $800 for motor homes and $500 for trailers, $250 for pop-up to be charged immediately to hold booking.  Any balance due to be paid 3 weeks before unit leaves.  Adjustments for gasoline, mileage and generator will be made when unit is checked in.  A separate security will be refunded within 2 weeks after return of RV.  Renter must possess valid Driver's license and Credit Card.

Collision Damage Waiver:  Motor home are $20 per day, pop-ups and trailers $15 per day for an $800 deductible.  This reduces renter’s liability from full value of RV.

Mileage:  Mileage to be estimated for round trip and paid before leaving and adjusted when unit is returned.  No mileage fees on ANY TOWABLE product.  All motorhomes receive 100 miles/day free. Additional miles are figured as shown in the following example.   A 10 day trip gets 1000 free miles, the next 1000 miles are billed at $.35/mile, the next 1000 billed at .75 and the next 1000 at 1.50.  Most rentals fall within the first (free) or second tier(.35).

Gasoline Adjustment:  Gasoline tanks start full and should be filled when unit is returned.

Prep & Cleaning Fee:  $175 motor homes & trailers, $50 pop-ups, includes empty waste tanks upon return, fill propane, toilet chemicals, campground guide, and exterior cleaning and free car parking while using the RV.  Return pre-paid cleaning fee $50.

Generator:  $3 per hour if used or $25 per day for unlimited use.

Available options:   Bike Rack $50/trip,  GPS  $10/day or $100/trip,  and Personal Packs $50/person

RENTAL FACTS
- All Campers Sleep approx. 6 People
- Proof:  Renter must provide valid drivers license, proof of insurance and be at least 25 years old and hold a current valid MasterCard, Visa or Discover card.
- Late Returns:  Any late returns not preapproved are charged 2 FULL DAYS at daily rates.
- All Trailers and Motorhomes are SMOKE FREE:  Pre-approved towing and pets are permitted in certain RV’s and there is a fee for this.  Any exception to this has a penalty of $250.

From the New York City Area: Take the George Washington Bridge to NJ Interstate 80 West.  Get off at Route 23 North.  Four miles north of Sussex, bear right onto Route #651.  Continue 1.5 miles to Clove Road.  Bear left onto Clove Road for 2 miles.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.  We're also one mile from Orange County, NY.

From Morristown: Take Interstate 80 West to Route 15 North.  Turn right onto 565 North to town of Sussex.  Turn left onto Route 23 North.  Four miles north of Sussex, bear right onto Route #651.  Continue 1.5 miles to Clove Road.  Bear left onto Clove Road for 2 miles.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.

From PA, CT and Upstate NY:  Take Interstate 84 to NY Exit #2 (Mountain Rd).  Exit left off of ramp, and continue straight through blinking light onto Route 55 and continue 4 miles into NJ (becomes County Route #519).  Turn at the 4th left from blinker light (first left in NJ) onto Mount Salem Road.  Continue 2 miles and turn right onto Clove Road.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.

Common Questions

Do I need a special license to rent and/or drive an RV rental?
In order to rent and/or drive RV rentals, an individual must be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license from their State of residence.  No special class or permit is required.

Do you deliver RV rentals or camper rentals to your customers' preferred location?
We do offer delivery options.  Please contact us with your specific delivery needs.

What if I return my RV rental or camper rental later than expected?
RV rentals that are more than 1 hour late will be charged two full day at the daily rental rate for the unit.    More importantly, another family has scheduled their vacation with the RV in your possession and may not be able to begin their trip as planned.  We strive to treat each renter with respect by having their RV rental ready for their reservation time.

How early can I reserve an RV rental, camper rental or travel trailer rental?
Typically, we take reservations no more than 18 months in advance.  However, with a security deposit you may pay and reserve.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

GET TO KNOW YOUR RV
You will be given complete operating instructions and a comprehensive walk-thru at the time of departure taking approximately one – two hours to complete. We also have a video on our home pay of RV Made Easy which we encourage you to spend the 13 minutes watching.

DELAYED PICK UP
Please contact our office as early as possible if you are going to be unavoidably delayed.  Remember other customers pickup times are affected if you are late for your pick up.

EXTENSIONS
Extending your vacation is possible, but not guaranteed. You must ask permission prior to our return date and the additional nights must be paid for (usually by the credit card on file) before the extension is effective.

RETURN TIME
It is our policy to provide our customers with on-time service. To accomplish this, we need the cooperation of our renters to return the motor home at the prescribed return time. Late returns may cause delays in checking you in.  You should allow a minimum of (1) one hour for returning the vehicle and more if the vehicle has been damaged. Any unauthorized returns after 10:00am will be considered late and charged accordingly. To assure compliance, it is necessary for us to assess a late fee of $250 and the daily rate for each day the vehicle is late.

METHOD OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable by cash, personal check, certified check and traveler checks 3 weeks prior to travel.  Credit cards are only acceptable for the deposit and not accepted for final payment.

CREDENTIALS
Proper identification, a valid driver’s license, current insurance card from your car and a valid Credit Card must be presented before leaving with a vehicle.

ALL DRIVERS MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE and have a clean driving record. No more than one minor traffic violation or at-fault accident and NO major violations (Reckless Driving, Hit and Run, Driving while under the Influence of drugs or alcohol), in the last three years. All drivers must have a valid US or International Drivers License.

SMOKING, AND USE OF THE REAR LADDER & ROOF ARE PROHIBITED.
Any violation will result in a penalty of $250 plus actual charges for deep cleaning or repairing of the rental unit.  Towing and pets are permitted in certain RV’s and an additional fee is charged for pets.

RESTRICTIONS
Rental vehicles are not permitted into Mexico.

DAMAGE WAIVER
If you purchase CDW, we waive our right to collect from you a portion of Physical Damage to the Vehicle. We will not waive this right if damage to the Vehicle: (a) is caused by anyone who is not an Authorized Driver; (b) is caused by a Vehicle driver under the influence of any drug or alcohol; (c) is caused by anyone who obtained use of the Vehicle or extended the rental period by giving us false, fraudulent or misleading information; (d) occurs while the Vehicle is used during the commission of any crime, other than a minor traffic violation; (e) occurs while carrying persons or property for hire, while pushing or towing anything, during any race, speed test or contest, or, while teaching anyone to drive; (f) results from carrying dangerous or hazardous items or illegal materiel; (g) results from use of the Vehicle outside the United States or Canada, our outside any geographic limitations stated elsewhere in this agreement; (g1) is caused by driving on unpaved roads; (h) occurs while transporting more person than the Vehicle has seat belts, while carrying persons outside the passenger compartment, or while transporting children without approved child safety seats as required by law; (i) occurs when the odometer has been tampered with or disconnected; (j) occurs when the Vehicle s fluid levels are low, or it is otherwise reasonable to expect you to know that further operation would damage the Vehicle; (k) is caused by inadequately secured cargo; (l) is caused, by anyone who sits, lies or stands on the roof of the Vehicle; (n) results from your willful, wanton or reckless act or misconduct; and, (m) occurs and you fail to notify us and the police of any accident or vandalism causing damage to the Vehicle.  The CDW limit applies to EACH accident separately not cumulatively.

INSURANCE
You are responsible for all damage or loss you cause to others. You agree to provide auto liability, collision and comprehensive insurance covering you, us, and the Vehicle. Where State law requires us to provide auto liability insurance, or if you have no auto liability insurance, we provide auto liability insurance (the Policy) that is secondary to any other valid and collectible insurance, whether primary, secondary, excess or contingent. The Policy provide bodily injury and property damage liability coverage with limits no higher than minimum levels prescribed by the financial responsibility laws of the State whose laws apply to the loss. You and we reject PIP, medical payments, no-fault and uninsured and under-insured motorist coverage, where permitted by law. Coverage is void if you violate the terms of this Agreement or if you fail to cooperate in any loss investigation conducted by us, or our insurer. The Policy does not cover losses caused by drivers of the Vehicle who are not Authorized Drivers.  You have the option to purchase RV Supplemental Liability Insurance.  This is purchased online directly with an insurance company, not Rayewood RV Rentals. ON ROAD REPAIRS
In the unlikely event of mechanical difficulties with your rental vehicle, we want to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. Our late model vehicles are covered under manufacturer’s warranty, so repairs are as simple as taking the unit to a Ford dealer for chassis problems or to a Forest River, Fleetwood, Dutchman or Starcraft dealer for coach or trailer repairs, depending on the unit.  If breakdowns occur and repairs are needed, any repair up to $50.00 may be done. Any repairs $50.00 or over must have prior authorization from Rayewood RV Rentals. Please save and submit all receipts for repairs. Refunds will not be made without a receipt.

SEAT BELTS AND AIR BAGS
Seat belts are provided in various seats around the motor home. It is very important, both for your safety and to abide by state and federal laws, that they be worn whenever the vehicle is in motion and care should be taken when choosing small individuals (especially children) to occupy those seats.

HITCH USE
You are not permitted to tow anything or use the hitch for a bike rack without permission.

RETURN CLEANING FEE
We will clean the vehicle for a fee of $50.00. However, any excessive interior or exterior grime, stains, dirt, requiring deep cleaning will be charged for, in addition to the prepaid cleaning fee, at our shop rate of $99.00 per hour plus supplies and / or required contracted cleaning services.

HOLDING TANKS
As part of our service to you, upon the return of the vehicle the holding tanks will be dumped and rinsed with no additional charge to the renter.

FUEL REFILL
The vehicles are released to you with the engine fuel and propane tanks full and the engine fuel tanks must be full on your return.  The propane tanks will be filled at no charge to the renter as part of our service to you.  If the fuel tank is not full upon return you will be charged a $25.00 service charge to fill the fuel tank plus the actual cost of fuel.

GENERATOR USE
Use of the 110V generator is available for $3.00 per hour.  In lieu of the hourly rate, unlimited used can be obtained by prepaying $25.00 per day for the generator.  The generator runs off of the motorhome's premounted regular gasoline tank.

Vehicle Height – Be sure and watch for low hanging branches, canopies at gas stations and fast-food restaurants, and parking structures.

Weight Limits – All vehicles have a weight limit established by the chassis manufacturer. You should always be careful not to exceed the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) of the vehicle. Traveling with full fuel, water, and waste tanks makes the vehicle quite heavy and cuts down on the carrying capacity of people, personal items food, and luggage.  It also affects fuel economy. If you have any questions regarding weight, please consult our personnel or check the weight label found in the wardrobe.

Vehicle Maintenance – It is important that you check the engine fluids every time you stop to refuel. If the vehicle needs any fluids, please add the proper amount.  You will be reimbursed when you present us with the receipt upon your return. Driving with low fluid levels can cause engine damage for which you are totally responsible. It is important that you watch all gauges, driving the vehicle while it is overheated will cause engine damage.  It is also vital that you check the generator oil level every 6-8 hours of operation. If the generator or the engine needs oil, you may use 30 wt or 10W30 oil, available at any service station.

ACCIDENTS: If involved in an accident you must notify Rayewood RV Rentals within 24 hours. A full written police accident report must be submitted to our management upon your return. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit.

Vehicle Loss or Damage – In the unfortunate situation that there is damage to the rental unit when you return, we want you to know how those situations will be handled. Our goal is to be as up front and clear as possible so there are no surprises.  If you have ANY questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Estimate / Appraisal - An estimate / appraisal will be done to determine repair and replacement costs to the unit.

Parts – We charge manufacturer retail prices for all replacement parts required to put the vehicle back into new condition.  We will give you a detailed listing of the parts we use. If the parts are not an item that we normally stock, you will also be charged for freight and expedited delivery.  It is necessary that the vehicle be placed back into a serviceable condition as quickly as possible. All parts and supply charges are taxable.

Labor – We charge our standard shop labor rate.

Body / Chassis Shop- Some repairs require outside service assistance. If we use an outside shop, you will be responsible for the transportation costs of the vehicle to and from the shop.

Reservation Down payment:  $800 for motor homes and $500 for trailers, $250 for pop-up to be charged immediately to hold booking.  Any balance due to be paid 3 weeks before unit leaves.  Adjustments for gasoline, mileage and generator will be made when unit is checked in.  A separate security will be refunded within 2 weeks after return of RV.  Renter must possess valid Driver's license and Credit Card.

Collision Damage Waiver:  Motor home are $20 per day, pop-ups and trailers $15 per day for an $800 deductible.  This reduces renter’s liability from full value of RV.

Mileage:  Mileage to be estimated for round trip and paid before leaving and adjusted when unit is returned.  No mileage fees on ANY TOWABLE product.  All motorhomes receive 100 miles/day free. Additional miles are figured as shown in the following example.   A 10 day trip gets 1000 free miles, the next 1000 miles are billed at $.35/mile, the next 1000 billed at .75 and the next 1000 at 1.50.  Most rentals fall within the first (free) or second tier(.35).

Gasoline Adjustment:  Gasoline tanks start full and should be filled when unit is returned.

Prep & Cleaning Fee:  $175 motor homes & trailers, $50 pop-ups, includes empty waste tanks upon return, fill propane, toilet chemicals, campground guide, and exterior cleaning and free car parking while using the RV.  Return pre-paid cleaning fee $50.

Generator:  $3 per hour if used or $25 per day for unlimited use.

Available options:   Bike Rack $50/trip,  GPS  $10/day or $100/trip,  and Personal Packs $50/person

RENTAL FACTS
- All Campers Sleep approx. 6 People
- Proof:  Renter must provide valid drivers license, proof of insurance and be at least 25 years old and hold a current valid MasterCard, Visa or Discover card.
- Late Returns:  Any late returns not preapproved are charged 2 FULL DAYS at daily rates.
- All Trailers and Motorhomes are SMOKE FREE:  Pre-approved towing and pets are permitted in certain RV’s and there is a fee for this.  Any exception to this has a penalty of $250.

From the New York City Area: Take the George Washington Bridge to NJ Interstate 80 West.  Get off at Route 23 North.  Four miles north of Sussex, bear right onto Route #651.  Continue 1.5 miles to Clove Road.  Bear left onto Clove Road for 2 miles.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.  We're also one mile from Orange County, NY.

From Morristown: Take Interstate 80 West to Route 15 North.  Turn right onto 565 North to town of Sussex.  Turn left onto Route 23 North.  Four miles north of Sussex, bear right onto Route #651.  Continue 1.5 miles to Clove Road.  Bear left onto Clove Road for 2 miles.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.

From PA, CT and Upstate NY:  Take Interstate 84 to NY Exit #2 (Mountain Rd).  Exit left off of ramp, and continue straight through blinking light onto Route 55 and continue 4 miles into NJ (becomes County Route #519).  Turn at the 4th left from blinker light (first left in NJ) onto Mount Salem Road.  Continue 2 miles and turn right onto Clove Road.  Follow signs to Rayewood RV Center.

Common Questions

Do I need a special license to rent and/or drive an RV rental?
In order to rent and/or drive RV rentals, an individual must be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license from their State of residence.  No special class or permit is required.

Do you deliver RV rentals or camper rentals to your customers' preferred location?
We do offer delivery options.  Please contact us with your specific delivery needs.

What if I return my RV rental or camper rental later than expected?
RV rentals that are more than 1 hour late will be charged two full day at the daily rental rate for the unit.    More importantly, another family has scheduled their vacation with the RV in your possession and may not be able to begin their trip as planned.  We strive to treat each renter with respect by having their RV rental ready for their reservation time.

How early can I reserve an RV rental, camper rental or travel trailer rental?
Typically, we take reservations no more than 18 months in advance.  However, with a security deposit you may pay and reserve.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
